Rear stereo controls

My 4 year old spilled soda all down the rear console. I think it worked it's way into the rear controls for the stereo because after that happened my radio started scanning and changing bands on its own. I'm thinking of just trying to disable the rear controls for a quick fix. I'm wondering if the damage will be permanant?

Rear stereo controls

try buying a contact cleaner in a spray can,usually radioshack has it and spray the circuit board in the control panel.just remove the panel and open it up and spray it good.good luck
