HELP - 2000 Expy EB!!!!
I have been looking for an Expy EB for some time now, and think I found one. I was close to buying a 1999 Expy EB, but was scard away when I heard about the engine oil problem the 1999 Expy's had that were made at the Windsor engine plant (thank you to this board for alerting me to that issue prior to my making that mistake).
I have now found a 2000 Expy EB with low mileage. This will be a private sale, so I am a little nervous as I will not have an extended warranty associated with the vehicle.
My questions are simple:
1. Does the 2000 Expy EB also have the same engine oil leak issue (that the 1999 has) if the 5.4 was also built in the Windsor Plant, or had Ford corrected the problem by the time they were producing for the 2000?
2. Are there any known defect recalls for the 2000 Expy EB I should be aware of?
The vehicle I am looking at is an Expy EB 5.4 v8, towing package, auto leveling.
