Hard down shift into first
More problems with my 88 f250 project truck. It has a c-6 non overdrive tranny. when coming to a stop it seems to down shift into 1st hard and too soon. this truck hasn't seen the open road for a while but the fluid was clean when i serviced the tranny. I was thinking the vaccum module on the tranny may be bad. Any guesses out there????

vaccume modual is adjustable. pull the hose off, and use a tiny straight screwdriver, in makes firmer shifts, out softer. I think, but might be other way around, been a few years since I fooled with 1.

fixed my problem. after checking for vaccum at the module i found the prevoius owner had hooked up the vaccum lines to the ported ports on the throttle body which only allowed vaccum when on the throttle. and they had hooked some other things in the wroung place. after hooking up the lines correctly the truck shifts great.
