1977 F-150 with the 351 block, I believe my carburetor is the Motorcraft 2150. It is leaking gas from the front bottom portion of the carburetor onto the intake manifold. My feeling is there is a bad gasket, my question is if that means I should just rebuild it or if I can just replace the gasket?
I may try to find a used 2150 and rebuild it, then I can just swap it out, and keep the truck functional but leaking gas.

Mine was doing the same thing. Its was the accelerator pump gasket easy fix. If I was to do it all over I would just rebuild the whole thing. A kit is less then $30. And with Murphy's Law something else will surely go wrong with the carb. Good idea getting a backup to rebuild!
Thanks for the suggestions, the accelerator pump is probably the culprit I remember it dripping from under it once. Is it even easy to find just that gasket or am I stuck buying the whole kit?
