Interior Lights
Anyone have a method to overide the interior lights when the doors are open (at least the drivers side door)? I have a tendancy to leave the door open when working on the truck, and it is a major drain with 2 dome lights, 4 courtesy lights in the doors, 2 bulbs glowing for the cargo lights, and what other lights in the footwells, etc. that I am forgetting.
Truck is 97 F350 Crew 4X4. Does not have factory remote keyless entry (I understand that option turns the lights off after a few minutes.)
Any suggestions (other than disarming the drivers door switch)?

You could always put a switch after the fuse. Basically use a spade plug, put it into the feed side of the fuse socket, run an inline fuse holder up to your switch on your dash, run the switched side back down to the outlet side of the fuse socket. You can then shut off your interiors any time with a flip of the switch. I did this is my '85 Bronco when I plowed snow so I could open my door while backing up (had a salt spreader I couldn't see over, and my mirrors would get covered in snow) and not get blinded at night.
