Speaking of Girl Scout cookies...is it me or are they selling them on every street corner this year? Just looking forward to the day my daughter becomes a Brownie...oh yeah, great times aren't too far down the road.
Morning Steve...and everyone else. Shortbead cookies are okay, but my favorites are the Tag-along and Samoa. Though the new cranberry cookies are interesting.
Get out there an enjoy this beautiful weather y'all. It was 60F at the fort yesterday, got the scooter out in the afternoon when momma got home and enjoyed a short ride around town. Supposed to be a couple of degrees warmer today. Too bad it it's supposed to rain Sunday, got a road trip to make...so much for the Pavement Princess staying clean
Thank you, a little nervous currently (been off work so long) but my wife assures me everything is going to be fine on the home front while I'm gone. It will feel good to get back on the trains. Someone described it to akin to a sailor; once you get a good taste of it...your ready to go back first chance you get. I'm just glad I'll still be in Arkansas this time...the two and three state income tax refunds are a pain. After the first year I was more than willing to pay an accountant the $170 to do our taxes. Oklahoma has some strange income tax laws; and I was tired of fighting with my former employer trying to explain that I'm still a resident of Ark. I transferred from one operation to another...apparently they assumed I moved. No way Jose, I've yet come across a career that would pay me enough to live in Oklahoma.
I guess since no one as replied to my Malvern/Hot Springs thread there's nothing exciting I need to know (like which areas to stay away from). When I was working in Tulsa there was places you didn't go at night without a flack jacket and a Glock.
Nothing more than a couple of big rain drops and some thunder & lighting. No hail or winds like the weather guessers were predicting. Put the scooter up just in case the hail came in like they were predicting. It is noticeably cooler today than it was yesterday around noon.
