March GTG Poll

Seeing as how we have such a small turn out at GTG's I figured I would start a post to see what everyone wants to do..

We have been to the following places.

Battleship Cove-Fall River, MA
World of Wheels-Boston MA
Redhook Brewery-Portsmouth NH
Fitchburg Car Show-Fitchburg MA
New England Air museum-Windsor locks CT
Golden age of trucking-Middlebury CT
Purgatory Chasm-Sutton MA
Higgins Armory-Wochester MA
Kittens Gentlemans club-Salisbury MA
A couple of other local car shows
also just had Lunch or BBQ gtg's

These have been some interesting events and we had only a handful of people show up..

So here is your opportunity to tell us what it is you guys are interested in.

So let's get started now that the nice weather is coming..

Anything is fine in my opion. Just joined the group and im not too picky. Think it would be nice to meet with some people here from the area who share common interest. Im always up for a BBQ maybe at some park.

Patriot Place

Hey Don,

You forgot Patriot Place - that I should have been able to walk to and didn't - I saw the pictures and it looked like a pretty good turn out. Don't forget the Thursday night car shows at Bass Outlet @ Patriot Place. This year they run from May 6th through October 21st - every other Thursday Night! I've been to a couple and can't believe the turn out. I know week nights are a drag but a couple of informal GTG's shouldn't be too difficult. Just a thought...

To avoid calculations: Event Dates: 5/6, 5/20, 6/3, 6/17, 7/1, 7/15, 7/29, 8/12, 8/26, 9/9, 9/23, 10/7, 10/21

Well, I begged off on a couple of earlier ones because I didn't trust the truck yet (only had it since Oct 09. I've addressed the steering issues, the stalling issues (for the most part) and fixed the leaking rear Diff. Just drove 75 miles round trip up to Amherst and back to drop my kid off at school and now feel the truck could make it anywhere in the state probably. So I am willing to attempt to make the next GTG. For me Sunday's are best or a weeknight. Saturdays are out as it's just the day to get everything done that can't get done during the week.

Ideas:

Basketball Hall of Fame (Great resturants right there around it)
U.S. Armory Gun Museum
Indian motorcycle Museum

Fenway Park tour and/or Game

Picnic/BBQ
Loo

Could see all three in one

I think I did a post about it last year. One of your pics had the truck I drove to the event in it.

Hey Mike...great suggestions. We did the BBHOF a couple years ago...no one who attended would ever go back...just not real interesting. The Indian Motocycle Museum is under consideration as well as the Bradley Air Museum. We went to Bradley a few years ago...VERY interesting...and...a chance to meet up wit the CT Chapter!!! Never heard of the US Armory Gun Museum...I'll google it and check it out!!!

A local dealership may be sponsoring an event this year...not definite yet...but...it looks promising!!!

Ken,

I would agree with the groups assessment of the BBHOF, I went 23 years ago and live here and haven't been back yet (and it is all new).

I would really like to see the Bradley Air Museum, It's one of those things I've been saying for years I gotta go see and haven't made the time yet.
