what a bad sunday

so i have had a ton of f 150 in my days but always wanted a bronco so i found one one cragis list for 2k i drive a hr away and test drive it not too bad for a 94 body was fair and motor for having 180k ran nice so i get the guy to take 1800 for it even know my wife was giving me the eye about the hole deal he telling me that he rebuilt the trans and stuff so i get in and drive home from out of state with this un registerd bronco and it starts smoking like a f@#ing chimney so i keep my foot in it so i can just get home and take a look at what wrong with my new old dream toy just to find out i have lost reverse and it dont want to go back in to drive but i get it parked and by now my wife is pissed i spent 2k for this junker not that i think it is but what even so i go under to see the leak and were the smoke was coimng from to find the trany fuid is boiling in the pan i could hear it trust me on that so saying i went to feel thye trans line at the rad they were both cold as ice so he must have never ingaged the pump on the trans luckly i have a 96 f150 4x4 with the e40d to take out but it has the stait 6 will the tourc converter be ok on my 302???? any idea so i have a little project this weekend

DUDE, i would be calling the previous owner pissed. but also you should always have a rig checked out by a shop. you spend 1 hour of shop time to learn everything you need before you buy.

also a 96 f150 may also have a 4r70w tranny which wont really work in the bronco. the e4od is spendy to have rebuilt. did the guy show you any reciepts regarding the tranny or did he claim to perform the work himself?

well he said he rebuilt it him self and i wasnt going to call him yelling and screming cuse one it wouldnt have done me any good and 2 it was all cash deal out of my state so i *****ed but thats life i did check my 150 and it has the E trans code so i'll just rent some shop it from my buddy for a case of beer and get it swaped out this weekend so i can drive my new ride around and i cant wait to
