Torque Converter Kit?

My friend was talking about some programer for his dodge where is resets the torque converter to start locking up at a lower speed so he can get more power to the wheels faster.

I was wondering if they made that for my truck? It's a 1993 Ford F-250 7.3L with the E-4OD.

No programer for your truck.
You can put your torque converter on a switch to lock and un-lock it.

You can install a B &M shift plus switch, basically it up's the line pressure and gives you hard but positive shifts. I have one installed, but truthfully, I have a good multidisc torque converter, and I believe the valve body springs have been upgraded, so I dont use the B & M switch. If I get in a situation were I think I need it- ie starting out up hill with a heavy tow, I might use it then, but an updated converter and valve spring kit is a better, but more expensive option FWIW.

Actually there are a couple aftermarket controllers for the E4OD that do let you change the shift points and lock up.

David85 has one on his E4OD and really likes it.
