I have a 95 explorer xlt i just replaced the **** that turns cold to hot in the console and now i still have no heat blowing out, i checked both hoses by the firewall are hot, i'm thinking it may be that valve not sure how to tell if its open or shut also have tracked a gray hose as far as the fender wall but will have to remove fender to see where it goes, any ideas??

no heat

Temperature is controlled by a manually operated air blend door in the heater air plenum chamber. When the temperature control **** is in the extreme COOL position (fully counterclockwise) all air bypasses the heater core.

When the temperature control **** is moved to the extreme WARM (fully clockwise) position, all air is directed through the heater core. When the temperature control **** is between COOL and WARM (between full counterclockwise and clockwise), air is directed through and around the heater core in rough proportion to the position of the temperature control **** between the extremes of its travel.
