Tommorw, i plan on ordering my lift for my truck. I am going to go with the 4 inch Superlift, Im aware of the front driveshaft i have to order. I need a little insight on what size wheel and back spacing to run. I want to run the 16" Micky Thompson Classic II's, with a 33x12 BF Goodrich. Im open to suggestions on tire size and brand. Feel free to give me your idea's and thoughts. Im purchasing all of this online, since i am stationed over in Afghanistan, and my father is putting it on for me for my return in June for R&R, so i want to keep it online sights.
all i know is the wider the tires the worst the handling i have a 04 with 3in. body lift changed tires to 31x10.5x15 have not had any problems looking to go 3 to 5in suspin. lift on same tires. what do you know about drive shaft thank you for all you do for our country
For what i have read on Superlifts website, and from what i have read on the form , that the stock driveshaft wears out after 20,000 miles and the new superlift's driveshaft is more heavy duty.
Well i bit the bullet tonight, i ended up getting the 4 inch superlift kit, the front driveshaft, 33x10.50 BF Goodrich All Terrains mounted on 15x8 Pro Comp polished aluminum wheels, Detroit Tru-Trac LSD, and Volant cold air intake. I have a great dad and best friend at home who will install the lift and wheels and tires, and take it to the rear end shop for the LSD install. Needless to say I feel like a kid on Christmas ordering this stuff, and cant wait to see pictures! None the less, drive it when i go home in June. Ill post pictures with in the next month or two as they start the project. Take Care
wider tires dont make it handle worse, if anything it would be better sine you have more of a contact patch to the pavement. Now taller tires would make it handle worse since it would bring the COG up and thats a no no.
