Are window regulators nonexistent?

I recently bought my first ford truck, which is also my first diesel truck. I love it but some parts seem impossible to find. My drivers power window would only go down about 2 inches then stop. Since it would slow down gradually as the window went down I thought it was a weak motor and I had had the exact same symptoms with a jeep I once had. IN teh jeep the motor just needed replacing. So, without doing any in depth diagnosing, I just bought a new motor and installed it. Guess what, the exact same problem was there. Well it's not the motor but since I had the door apart I noticed the regulator slides were heavily worn and binding. I thought "OK now that I know the real problem I will have this fixed real quick. I went online and looked everywhere, even to PartsGuyEd website. There is no such thing as a power window regulator available anywhere for Super Duty trucks 99-04. I take that back, you can fing them but they have the motor already installed. I already have a new motor, I just need the new regulator. I can get a brand new regulator by itself for almost every other truck inthe world even my 1960 ****** L6-226 Pickup where only about 50,000 were produced. There must be about a million Superdutys but some parts just seem impossible to find. Could someone please show me the light.

I have some good used regulator slides (actually whole manual regulator units) left over from converting to power windows. I think they are the same. You can have them if you pay the shipping costs - USPS flat rate box.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer but I really wanted to put new parts in there. I have found regulators for manual windows but from the info on the descriptions I was under the impression they were different and wouldnt work.

Shop around. We had a situation with the car where window regulators have weak plastic slider.
Dealer wanted for whole regulator $120, when some search found a slider at aftermarket supplier.
the cost ... $7

Don't feel bad. Those drop down menu catalogs can be a pain if you don't have some experience with them.

I couldn't find an engine oil temp sensor. Come to find out the engine coolant temp sensor is the same part number. Who would have thought it, but it makes sense.
