My 79 has cruise. It.s a little piggy back unit mounted on the blinker. I had the same thing in a 80 mustang I used to have and I always figured it was some sort of aftermarket unit, but my P/U has the exact same one. Is this some sort of poorly designed factory unit? If it is it's pretty hokey looking. Just wondering

It's aftermarket, may have been dealer installed. Factory installed have the buttons on the horn pad, under each thumb.

Good to know. I figured it was when I had it on the mustang, but when this truck had the exact same thing... Glad to know it wasn't factory, it looks like crap
