I have the folding 1 ton engine hoist. It works well but will not pick up the engine and transmission together. Well...it will if someone stands on the other end and you do not lift it more than a couple of inches. Caution, the wheels do not like it either.

I use it to lift my pwc's I had to weld a bar on the back and drop some plate weights for counterballance lol
