Does anyone know the white paint codes for the front and rear bumpers on my '65.
Is this color also used on the speedometer panel and rear view mirror?
I have Wimbledon White left over from my paint job, but I think the bumpers were more bright white.
Thanks

There was no paint code for bumpers. Usually they were painted Colonial White, but customers could order other colors as well.
Colonial White was also used for the steel instrument clusters. The inside mirrors were painted flat argent.
Thanks ND,
I went to a local paint store here in Atlantic City that carries Dupont. They have been in buisness since the 1930's. A guy who looked like he might have been there for the grand opening pulled out a bunch of old Dupont books out and found the Colonial White, color code E.
He said it was a popular color on the early Thunderbirds, and non-chrome bumpers, then he mixed me up a quart of single stage Centari with the old formula.
You are good, ND.
Thanks again, Doug

What I meant when I typed "there was no code for Colonial White" was...
There was no codes on Warranty Plates for painted bumpers (and grilles). There were no codes for interior colors, either.
The only code(s) on Warranty Plates were for exterior color(s).
