how much horse power
after all of this I don't want to get smoked by a stock mustang will this be a problem?
Do your homework and learn as much as you can about the motor you want to build, what makes it go fast and all the necessary parts to make the horse power you want.
Make a shopping list . Check it twice and then start looking for the parts you need. Some will be real easy to find be it the boneyards or parts catalog, speed shops. and some will be almost impossible to find, Swap meets, Ebay, for sale Parts papers. And some you'll have to make yourself.
Save yourself some headaches and get the better parts the first time. ( example 89.00 headers,, will get the job done for now but well need to be replaced sooner then if you get the 199.00 ceramic coated headers that might last as long as your car or truck)
Just remember to do your homework first.... It's cheaper in the long run.....
I should know In the past 4 years I've spent over $35,000.00 in motor parts and I have lots of extra parts laying on the shelves that I might never use, but thought I needed until I found there was a better part out there to do the job.
Had I done my homework a lot better I might have gotten away with only spending $20,000.00 for my last 3 motors.
