flickering backup lights

flickering backup lights

my backup light have been flickering on and off and im wondering if anybody has can tell me where to start before i start looking aimlessly at my wiring

Do you have a automatic? If so, there is a switch mounted on the side of the tranny behind the shifter lever under the truck. That's the back-up light switch and usually has the neutral safety circuit in it also. You can start there. I would unplug the switch and jump the terminals together and see if the lights still flicker. Do not jump the red/blue wires, jump the other two wires.
