has anybody else noticed the abundance of chevy ads on this website. i love the site and use it all the time. dont think im complaining, i just think its a little strange theres all these chevy ads.
If you look on the right side where the ads are you'll see "ads by Google".
Google sells the ads, not the forum. Besides, shoudn't knock GM, we own 60% of it. LOL!
This topic has been mentioned many times over the last six months, but what it boils down to is audience.
Why advertise to people who already like Chevy? I guarantee that there are Chevy-only websites that have Ford ads on them all the time. As HillbillyDeluxe81 said, Ford ads wouldn't be very useful on a Ford website. How much more customer base could they possibly hope to gain?
It's good business for the company that owns the website, because you know they are raking in some dough from allowing competing brands to advertise in another's specialty area. This goes for Chevy and Ford.
Chevy ads don't bother me in the least. It's like a vegan constantly shoving a tofu quiche under a Texas barbecue champ's nose...it just makes him more repulsed by it.
Hahaha, and provides a little comic relief for this website too besides. Having a bad day with your truck, well, just look over to the left side of your screen, and you'll get thankful ooooffly fast for whateeever Ford you have.
