Front Hubs

I have an 06 f250 with manual hubs on the front end. Any ideas on when to take them apart and repack the bearings? I don't see them listed in the maintenance schedule.

It's theretically not needed. Folks around here recommend repacking the the grease in the locking hub every year to ensure 4wd works when needed (not the bearing). The bearings are a harder call. Definitely if you have to tear into the hub area, but otherwise the only other thing people try is to grease the bearings through the ABS sensor hole (by pulling the sensor out). I have not tried this, but some have had success.

I lost the link but my info on packing the wheel hub is in here (search). Just clean and lightly grease the locking hub unit every couple years.
