Lord have mercy, where do I start thats the way ford should program the trucks!!! Xtreme Street Well you know. I've never been in something that weighs 8000lbs run like a vette!!!
how does your custom tunes compare to the programs SCT sends with their units. i don't have head studs yet so i don't get into the throttle too often on my 2004 with 90k. i bought the sct to improve daily highway driving fuel mileage(which it does have it set on street, will test mileage on race after i empty the tank), and for towing(tow 24' car hauler weighing 9k chicago to west coast at least 5 times a year).
it is like night and day for me. custom tunes are the only way to go, and your just as safe with custom tunes as you are with the off the self tunes (probably safer). so you might as well go ahead and do the custom route. trust me you wont be disapointed

I see in your signature you have head studs done. did you have to do them or did you do it as a preventative measure.
My dealer told me the 06 Im driving had better head studs than the 04 and 05s. He told me I shouldn't need to do ARPs.

So far so good
Yeah I think they have a different part # but the same results. LIFTED HEADS due to alot of things EGR, oil cooler just to name a few. If you have the money to be preventative then go ahead, but I'd save for them and wait cause it isn't a cheap ordeal.
I had my truck one month and blew the heads stock! ARP's are the way to go or equal studs.

What he speaks of is true about the safer part. If you read Innovative's site about custom tunes will explain it all.
