Floor Pans

Floor pans and cab supports are available from Carolina Classics. Or you could harvest the floor out of a 78/79. Really just one really big patch.

William, I have question your donor numbers, why 78/79 when all the pans excluding the 4" added to the back starting in 73 are the same under the seat forward from 65/79?

PLMCRZY, I have found that when the floor is shot areas below the doos hinges will be too. I have removed a pan by cutting the spot welds all along the seam on the fire wall, back to under the seat. There is a lot of work there.

You might come out ahead if you found another truck cab to use, hundreds of hours can be saved with a replacement cab. If you had to pay a couple hundred bucks for it, you would still be ahead.

Rust fighting aint for the faint of heart.

back to the back of the seats would be good because not just floor pan but an area towards the door behind pan is rusted, and under the cab there is a cross member that is rusted toward outside on both sides.I really dont want to try find a doner cab and I dont want to quit.I have done quite alot work on the frame you can look at my pics and tell me what you think so far.Gonna be a low riding pro street if I ever get there

Brian, blade down throttle up, keep pushing on bro.

Guys fall in love with a rusty bucket of misery, and spend 10 times more effort & money on it, rather than finding another part that would cost them much less.

A few come out the other end, but many wear the guy out and he gets tired of it and quits. Looks like you will come out,............. beat up & battered, but you'll finish.
