AOD Still Engaged?!?!?!

Hey all, i have an 89 EB Bronco 302 Auto Aod, I was told that if you drove without the TB cable that comes from the tranny to the Throttle Body, it would mess it up, Well, i did this just about 100 feet, and it happened, Does anybody know what i did, or what can i do to fix what i have done, and does anybody know where i can get the little plastic connector that holds that cable on, it is kind of shaped like a light bulb!! Your guys help is very much appreciated!!!!

100 feet won't hurt anything. The problem with driving without the TV cable is that it can let the tranny slip and burn up clutches. As for the part, it should be fairly cheap from Ford.

Sounds like you have two problems.
Try making sure the shift linkage is OK and it is in park when you try to start, maybeput it in neutral and try.
If the TV linkage is stuck wide open and the tranny is in drive it may try to lunge forward.
What happened that you took the cable off?
