Can any one tell what this is??

Some of you who have been following my other thread on "Misfireing" will realise I am clutching at straws now. Before I take it to an "Expert" I thought I would just try out a few silly ideas, one of which was to pull off a plug on the back of a component on the firewall to see what happened while the engine was running.ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, Operated the throttle and still nothing.

It is connected via a cable to the Throttle Assembly, any idea what it is, I've tried to upload a Picture to help.( but that didn't work )

It is a 1996 F-460 7.5L efi on the F550 chassis.

Obviously if it isn't working it might explain my problem.

That sounds like the "manifold absolute pressure sensor" (MAP)

Thanks for that, that one I did know, however I also posted on another forum and it seems it is the Cruise control Actuator. Which is something I have never used, down here in Cornwall in the UK it would be useless. but thanks
