You should install a tow bar on it so you can tow a Ford around in case you get into trouble. Oh!!!!!!!!! Just kidding... I used to have a '59 Chev Apache with a built 396 and a 400 tranny. The body was a little rough when I got it, but sure loved the looks on the guys in the next lane when I kicked it hard. that old truck would ROLL>
well that is a cool truck not my favorite brand but yet its old and american made and you are participating in recycling by not letting it rot in a junk yard right on man if anyone gives you greif about it you can just tell them you thaught it would look cool being towed by your ford lol
I dunno, maybe John had his doors blown off by one of those Chevys and he holds a grudge to this day. It is possible as Chevys came from the factory with 4 barrel carbs and Ford was only putting 2 barrel carbs on. The views expressed by John, DON'T reflect the views of FTE by the way.
****gay****.
I have never been on any forum where there is one jerk that stands out like you. Regardless of your belief the sun does not rise and set in your butt. I have read more negative posts by you than any other member. So maybe you should grunt REAL hard and push your head back out....actually you are not worth this argument,so have a good day.

those are good truck and look really cool when done all up right. have fun with that thing and good luck.
Thanks again Gents, and as I learned MANY years ago from my Dad,,,, I would rather DRIVE anything, than have to push the SoB,,, AND I DO think, MOST folks enjoy old trucks, regardless of brand, cuz last time I checked, a 1970 ANYMAKE truck was MADE IN THE *U*S*A*!!!! Yes this is a Ford trucks forum, and as you can see, I'm not a newbie, so thank you just the same.
For the positve, fun, lighthearted comments, THANKS guys and have a good eve.
Joe
Where to go to see pictures of the truck? You still can't go wrong with an American made truck no matter what anyone says. (jowilker-AKA-Walter "I don't give a damn") I occasionally come across parts for the 69-70 Ford and chebbies. Let me know if I can be of any assistant's.
Congratulations on the buy, Pickupmanx2!
Where are the pictures?
I just noticed you name all your Trucks' something that start's with an E.
I really liked Ed, He was so similar to my truck...
Good thing he's in a good FTE member's hands now.
What are your other trucks' named?
You know something is old, when it was made in the USA!
"Go American or Go Home!"
"Damn Straight!"
I have nothing more to add to this topic...
Oh wait yes I do!
Rock On Bro!!

i had a 72 chev once. have always had problems with the lubrication system, they are weak, and the camshafts lose lobes rather easily thats probably why there is so much aftermarket parts for them they need them but a lot of the parts will interchan.ge with each other
