hi guys
just rebuilt motocraft 2150. removed vacuume choke and installed manual choke. Also never reinstalled High idle adjustment as there were pieces missing. Current temperature is slighty below zero and I cant get the truck to idle even after temp hand reaches normal.
You need to look at the idle screw and make sure the fast idle cam is not holding the throttle open. When it's warmed up the cam should not be touching the idle screw. When warm the idle screw should go back to it's home position.
I would think you would need to have your fast idle hooked up so that when you push and pull your choke it should also control the fast idle.
Just a note: with the fast idle hooked up correctly I think you will need to mash the gas pedal a little when you pull the choke out or you will strain the cable adjustment.
right now the fast idle cam is not hooked up! Im wondering if I adjust thww curb idle up a little will it be enough . normally dont drive it it cold weather
Just dies out no rev up. it seems like its idled down way to much. Should I have left the Fast idle cam on, It got hooked up sometimes and didnt work well with the manual choke.
