A tough question

I'm trying to install a new electric fuel pump on a 1995 EFI 5.0 motor and I can't find a way to get from ford's push to connect fittings on the fuel rail to a standard SAE style fitting. I even work a Eaton/Aeroquip, and the only thing the Aeroquip engineers could think of was to cut the fuel rail or tubing and braze on a fitting. Does anyone have a solution that doesn't involve brazing?

why can't you just make a custom hose w/the stock connector on the rail end and the fitting of your choice on the other?

I did this pn an 86 5.0l. You cut the steel line to the fuel rail and flare it with a flaring tool, then with 5/16 (larger or smaller as needed ) flaring connectors you can work with this. Does this help?
