Air Compressor????
I have a noise that can only be heard from the inside of my 2002 Ford Explorer. It sounds like it's coming from the driver side rear inside the vehicle. It sounds like an air compressor pumping. It comes and goes, but sometimes it will be on for hours.
Anyone know what this might be. I have heard that it's a part of the parktronic system(whatever that is), and that it costs around 1400.00 for Ford to fix.....any help would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to recall some threads on this forum about clicking noises associated with a blend door for the rear HVAC (as well as under the dash). You might try searching the forum for "rear HVAC."
