I can't stand dumbazz people that think just because they are in a position of power that they can screw every single person that they see. I tried to buy my books today at school so that I could continue on with my classes and take my online tests. I go in there find all my damn books on there unorganized shelves andgo to pay, it came to $251.68 so I pull out the check that my father wrote for me to buy the books until I could pay for them. It was a company check so it only had the company adress and the company name in the upper left corner. They wanted an ID so I pull on my lisence and the girl says I can't take this check with out a managers approval, so I say that is fine and she goes to get the manager. He comes over and looks at the check and the ID and says we can't take this becuase I can't prove that I am part of the company, which I am. So I say well there would be no way for the CEO of the company to PROVE that he is part of the compaany either, I know this because he is my dad and he has the same name as me and has the same lisence. So I say, so your telling me that if the OWNER of the company came in and puylled out a check book and wrote you this check that you would not accept it because it doesnt have his name on it. And he goes you keep saying that I won't take it but the manager is the one that won't, so after all this I was talking to the damn middle man that has NO FRIGGEN POWER AT ALL. So I say well can I speak with the actual manager please, he was on the phone but I said I had no problem waiting becuase I needed the books to take my test. So after about 10 minutes he was done on the phone so I walked back to his office and procceded to ask him the same things, half way threw my telling him what was discussed up front he cuts me off and says that he can not accept this check. So I said so if my father came in here to buy the books you would tell him the same thing your telling me, he said yes and I said well I think that you are feeding me a load of bullchit because I am a student and you think that being a manager gives you some right to be a jack azz. So after that he said that I had to leave the bookstore and picked up the phone to call security on me, becuase apparently he has sensitive ears and has never heard the word bullchit. So I turned around and walked out of the office and mutered some very choice words "under" my breath. Sorry for the rant, but I hate incompetant people that think that they are the left ******** of god himself because they are dealing with college students, but in reality I've probably accomplished more in my 20 years of life than that shmuck has done in 40 years of working.

 

Richard sorry to hear this. that is really stupid that they wouldn't even take the check from your father, THE OWNER of the company. i don't carry checks at all so i don't no wut it's like, but i no i would be pizzed off. no other place you can get the books???

 

Well I could maybe get them online, but my sister is going to go in and buy them for me with her debit card and I'll just give her some money for them later, I don't think that I'm allowed back in the store at this point haha. I don't carry checks either but I've used them every semester at my last school to buy my books and didn't have a single problem in a year and a half.

ya, it just suks that there are people like that in the world. I agree with Bill Engval, stupid epople should have to wear a shirt that says that they are stupid so you avoid having to deal with them.

Well I had my check book on me back in November when I needed to travel to Columbus, to get my finger prints scanned for the TSA so I could have my Haz Mats. Well the guy I was going with, they said they didn't have him down to take it but if we paid, he could take it. Well they would only take Money Orders, so we go to this gas station where this lady who speaks very little english, is waiting I said I would liek to make a check out to get a Money Order, well I ask her who I need to make the check out to... she said 'You cant make check for money order' and it locked the register. Went to a bank, they wouldnt take the check cause the bank I was from doesn't have any banks up there... Went to walmart same thing, ended up calling mom using her credit card to pay the TSA over the phone so he could get his finger prints scanned. It was bull****. And its really bull**** you couldn't use the check. But hey, thats what happens in life. Sorry to hear this Richard.

 

Ya that is complete horse crap, and makes apsolutely no sense what so ever. So I guess that is all that matters lol

 

well last time i checked mcc's book store was quit organized and if you werent a procrastonating hoe then you wouldnt need to get a book this late lol

 

I have to get all my books and that store is organized my class numbers and who the christ carrys those around I don't know. I had the names of the books and the stupid SOB behind the counter said she couldn't find them that way and that I needed the numbers. And I haven't needed the books till now and I didn't have the money for it anyways so that didn't matter.

 

Lol I love my schooling they just send me all my books and ****, and I just have to take test =D

 

Honestly. I would find that guys boss, and bitch to him about how he treated you, and how the staff treated you.

if they don't listen, keep moving up the ladder.

Make sure you drop key words like "harassment" and any other big word that requires action.

Words like "racism."

But don't use racism, unless you are a homeboy and can flaunt it at that point.

Sometimes the best medicine for people who are incompetent is to get them in big trouble.

They have standards they have to uphold and such, but maybe the better business bureau needs to get involved.

I'm not sure if they have any involvement in school book selling, but i'm sure they do. or can.

When people **** me off like that, I make a fuss about it. People start to hate me, but I get my revenge with social networking.
Unfortunately, with my situation, I have no recourse of action but threatening a lawsuit to the college if they keep their current BS up.

Ya I typically do just keep my mouth shut and continue on up the ladder until I get the answer that I want to hear. But where I kinda flipped out and stepped out of line after he was being a dik I decided to just let it be.

 

The only way to fix *******s is to show em how small their pecker really is.
