ok here is a nightmare for me right now. i have a 5.0 from the 90's roller i have it bored over 40 stock crank just polished up and stuff b 303 cam some heads that have been built a little crane cam valve train i have a standard flow water pump on it and i have a water pump off a 86 f150 5.0. I have a 89 grand marquie water pump standard flow. diffrent bolt holes but both will work. i have i believe a harmonic off a 89-91 block i think. it has been balanced to my flywheel and my harmonic. i have a triple pulley the 86f150 and it wont line with any the other brackets. im hqving a hell of a time with it I need a easy way to assemble my alternator and water pump and powersteering. and cheap i have like 2 grand into the motor already and im going threw a child custody battle so u know what 1 gets the money right now please help im almost ready to put my 1980 f100 together
Sounds like you have a mix of parts there, If you use the accessory brackets, pulleys, and water pump off one vehicle it will all line up, and since your balancer is the one part you can't change that will be an '89-91 car or truck.
yup just what conanski said. you are trying to run serp belt setup right? the efi truck motors used a reverse rotation pump. only time standard rotation was used was on v belt setups. so like con said grab all the brackets from an 89 5.0 truck and you will be set. should be very cheap from a wrecking yard. are you staying efi or running a carb?
