Mystery Spring

Anyone recognize this spring? It ended up in a group of parts that were painted and now I don't have a clue....

Parts it was with were a clip from inside generator to hold the bearing in the end cap and a throttle return spring.

That sure looks like a brake spring to me. Is it round or oval?

Thanks guys!

I had not thought of that...but it can't be. Brakes were removed in front as a unit, doing a disc upgrade. Back are still intact. Did remove clutch / brake pedal, intake / carb / waterpump /generator.

Spring is round 1/2" diameter and 3/4" long.

I thought it might have been off the clutch arm as that was part of the truck being disassembled. I think that spring is much larger.

It wouldn't be from inside the generator would it?

I rebuilt the generator, new bearings...would...just can't find a pic of any springs inside.

Got sidetracked and truck has sat for a long time. Time to get it back together.

There is a spring about that size in the canister oil filter assembly.
