OT: Towing Equipment

Well lately I have been doing alot of towing (Mainly for free, helping people) But I have been using my F150. Its a 302, and its Automatic. So I am going to be making a little money I hope, doing some work for some people on there vehicles. Well I was looking at gauges on Ebay. I found glowshift gauges. Well I was looking, and I think I know what I would like to do. I would like to put on the pillar Oil Pressure/Oil Temperature/Transmission Temperature. Then I would like to put on my steering colum a Tachometer and a Digital EGT. My question is, would all these gauges be useful in towing? Cause I plan on making this truck a towing/trailer rig. Since its a 'Luxury' truck, and I plan on making the most of my trips. But I think those gauges would be useful just to keep tabs on the truck. Plus I plan on lightly modding it int he future to help with the towing. The reason I put it hear instead of with the Gassers is cause you guys awnser what I ask, and aren't smart asses about it. Thanks guys!!!

I don't know what model year your talking about If the F150 is a late model a scan gauge may do everything your looking for. Worth a look anyway.

I don't think you'd need the EGT's but the other gauges should be beneficial.

Oh well. Thats a good set you have in mind. If your going to tow with that F150 make sure your running gear is up to it. U joints, shocks, brakes, and such. Good synthetic fluids in the rear end and tranny.

Okay I will drop the egt (That saves a bunch of money) and I just took the bed off put new shocks on and cleaned and painted the frame. I also put new spring shackles and hangers. I now need to do the front suspension, and new brakes all around. But I will put synthetics in the rear end and transmission. But just wanting to slowly do it, thanks guys much appreciated.
