73 thru 76 will work. 77 I'm not sure since there were a lot of mid year changes. 78 - 79 wheels are different.
Thanks a lot. I've run across a wheel from a 73 that looks nice for a replacement. It's not "correct" as my truck is an XLT with the woodgrain center, but I hear those are few and far between.
Good news Phil105. The woodgrain center from your original wheel will fit into the 73 wheel. You have to remove the center to swap the wheels any way.
HA - well, that's if my center weren't all screwed up!! Think I'm gonna get this one anyway. Believe I saw on NPD they have the woodgrain center replacement.
Has anyone tried to "dye" these wheels? I need a blue one and this one is black. Wonder if they vinyl die you can use on seats would work on these wheels?
I've never tried to dye one but I did paint the 3 spoke 67-67 style wheel I swapped into my 72. I scrubbed the wheel with a good, all surface cleaner and a cheap toothbrush to get the crud out of all the seams. Then I scuffed it with #00 steel wool and applied 2 coats of Duplicolor adhesion promotor. Then 2 coats of paint. I scuffed it with #0000 steel wool between coats.

Thanks again for the info. That's good to know if the dye won't work. I know I dyed the seats in my old jeep a couple years ago and they have held up fine.
You'll have to trim about 1/4" off of the end of the steering shaft to make it work. Other than that it's a bolt on. You will however need the horn contact and button to match the wheel.

May be getting to "deep" for me. Guess I'll stick with original style. Bet it would look good though with the older style wheel.
