Thumbs up Diablo Installed and Screamin'!!

I got my Diablo Delta Chip from FTE for my 2003 5.4 SCrew last week and WOW, what a difference. This truck runs like a sreamin' demon. Overall package includes the Diablo with an Airforce One intake, Gibson dual outlet exhaust and a throttle body spacer. The other items were installed first but it was the chip that brought everything to life. I may be 41, but I feel like I'm 17 when I stomp on the gas!

Thanks, Ken, for your advice and timely delivery of the product!

I have the same truck and Im interested in upgrading the same.
Did you install everything yourself?
Also, how much total increase in hp and torque do you think youve gotten?
Which Diablo Chip did you get?

Thanks,
John

Yes, I installed everything myself. The exhaust was a real pain in the butt, only because I had to have the dual outlet behind the rear wheel. If I had done the single outlet things would have been MUCH easier. If you go with the throttle body spacer you will have to hack about an inch off of the TB end of the Airforce One. But generally, things were very easy.

As far as HP/torque, I really don't know. I will find out next week when I go for a dyno run. The thing that is really great about the Diablo Delta chip is the increase throughout the entire rpm range. Apparently some chips only work at wide open throttle, but the Diable seems to work well regardless of how far my foot is down. I guess the switch is a realy good feature, as I take a lot of 200 mile drives for work and my company has a problem paying $2.00 per gallon for premium on the company gas card!

Shooten crew

How much of a pain was it to install the Gibson exhaust. Like yourself I am interested in getting a chip and like the dual sport look of the GIbson. I called Gibson and they told me I had to remove the spare tire. Was this true? How much louder is your truck with the system?
