Fuel Pump Change out
Back in December, while geting ready to leave for Texas, I had the oil changed in my 96' F350 and the shop pointed out that I had a fuel leak. Quoted my 500 to fix it. I quickly got on line and FTE. Found a thread/how to by lossscause on how he fixed his. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...k-write-up.htm. His write-up and pictures were great.
Fast forward. Didn't get to fixing the leak and pulled to Texas. While there decided to fix the leak. Got on line again and looked up the part numbers. Started to leave for the parts store and noticed a guy working on a 93' F350. Stopped to talk about his truck and what he was doing and had done. When I told him what I was starting to do he called the man who had done his overhaul and let me talk to him. $210.00 later new fuel pump and fuel lines in place. Fuel pump was leaking out of the weep hole on the bottom.
Although I could have saved $100 in labor, it was my birthday so I treated myself.
Thanks to this site and Ford Truck owners I save at least $300. Thank's again.
