Well I finally replaced the OE battery in my 02 X. went dead back in Oct. while camping (wamest it was, was 30deg.) but I wrote that off as being in and out of the X several times without running the truck. then it went dead again in Jan. while loading up for a boyscout camping trip. again it was single digits. I bought a new Die Hard AGM battery 930 CCA $190 came with a 4yr free replacement warranty and after that it is pro rated for 60 mos.? can`t remember now. the X has never turned over this fast since I`ve owned it (bought it with 17k) in single digit weather it starts as if it were in the 80`s. I was going to go with an Optima, but I`ve read that the new ones aren`t as good as the old ones. I had an Optima in my Mustang 10 years ago and it was great. Always owned Die Hards and have had excellent luck.
Sorry, just had to share.
The TT needs a new battery this year. I may go with the same battery in the deep cycle version.
i had a optima in my explorer..never been run down and afte 4 years it just randomly wouldnt hold a charge. so this time i just went with a 1100CCA walmart battery and well see what happends with that.
Poor warranty and over priced.......should at least warranty like everyone else if they want to be considered premium.....they don't pro rate.....3yrs is it.....
