missing a little
hey all, my truck has been acting like it missing a little on reel cold mornings ( in the low 20's) and has a sound like the coil is shorting out. Not gettin any codes. anyone else ever have this happen. thanks guys truck is the 2000 in my signature

Its probably a low grade misfire that has not exceeded the misfire count enough to trip a code. If you have access to a scan tool that reads mode6 you could see which COP is giving you the problem. Other than that just wait and it will get worse and trip a pending code that will not lite the CEL but can be read with a code reader or it will trip a fault code that will trip the CEL.

I replaced my third coil in 2 years last month. This last coil it started running bad last September but didn't throw any codes. I thought I had a trans problem but the cel finally came on and it was a coil again. It still didn't seem right so I replaced the other 5 coils and the 2 coils I replaced previously and it runs like a new truck now....
