buzzing/vibration noise
when i'm accelerating from a stop the truck makes a buzzing/vibration noise, as if it doesn't want to go. i play with the accelerator and it stops for a second and comes back, yesterday it did it alot. also it seams to do it more in the lower rpms or 2nd or 3rd gear but don't know if thay are related. i think its turbo or motor related and not the trans, but i would like to hear what anyone thinks. also i know nothing about diesels, the 1996 f350 has 87,000 miles but just bought so unaware of the history.

Right after the turbo there is a valve called the EBPV. It's purpose is to close and restrict exhaust flow and allow the engine to heat up quicker. The buzz / vibration is probably what you are experiencing and is normal. Next time it occurs just get into the throttle and it should go away when you demand power. Once the engine heats up a bit the symptom should go away. It's quite normal but a bit concerning if not use to it.
