How not to pull a cop car out

I'm not sure what's funnier, a state trooper not smart enough to know that when it's been raining solid for the last two weeks you should not try to drive through a ditch to get off the toll road (hey, isn't that illegal?), or someone who pulls into the same ditch in order to try and pull them out

This was right as I left the house this morning, had to go back and get a pic, so I could prove it happened.

Saddest part, out of the frame, a GMC was smart enough to stay on the shoulder

Oh, and before you ask, my Mazda5 commuter wasn't going to help pull either one of them out...

Wonder if that's the same guy who tried to drive his CV over some RR tracks to catch a speeding MC....

Some people just aren't the most intelligent, ya know?
You have to be 10% smarter than the equiment your operating, ie cop isn't 10% smarter than his Crown Victoria...

Thanks,

To make a very long story short.............I once found human remains, went and got the sheriff's dept, accompanied the deputy and forensics people to the very remote 4wd only accessible area. On the way in on the trail, the deputy managed to roll the dept's Bronco with me in it.............He was very embarrassed, scratch 1 Bronco.

Minor thread hijack (great pics BTW!!), a freind of mine is a forester for the logging company I work for and he once found a human skull out in the woods. It was gone except for the actual bone itself, but he got on the company radio and told our land-use manager and asked him to call the sheriff's office. Our land-use guy told him (over the radio) that it was likely just an animal skull and that he should just kick it over the bank and get back to work. My freind responded saying, "exactly what kinda f'n animal has fillings in it's teeth?" It turned out to be a missing person from over 20 years earlier. Back to your regularly scheduled show...

And the show rolls on...
I once saw a dead homeless guy in a cardboard box one cold wet rainy night. He smelled like a dead animal.
I would say he died of being too cold.
or maybe it was the half dozen alcohol bottles next to him?

The guy we found was only "departed" for a few weeks..............Animals, insects, you name it, had been at work.......the smell, indescribably bad. I am certain any soldier in a combat zone gets used to it, but its something I will never forget.
