You will fry the chip and or the PCM, maybe both. You must remove the F6 before using the Programmer. It would be no different if you took your truck to the dealer and they reflashed your PCM with the chip installed. BIG ZAP!!!

I set my "no start" tune to "stock" before I took it to the dealer and pulled the "switch" out. I thought if they scanned the PCM they would see stock not fool with it. So now I am worried. What would cause them to reflash the PCM, and if they had, it would have fried it?????

Sometimes if you go to e dealership, they think they do you a favor by flashing your ecu with the latest updated program. They did that to my mothers dodge cummins truck and it got 3mpg less afterwards. They wouldn't reflash it again to attempt at fixing it either. I'm going to do what some others here have, and put a lock on the obd2 port. They have no need to scan the truck for whatever I'd bring it in for. So it being locked is a safety thing to ensure my f6 don't get fried or erased.

Reading from the PCM is fine. As in datalogging or scanning for codes. Its when they write to it or flash it is when damage will occur.
