roush headers
im going to be extracting some broken exhaust manifold studs and figured I would put on some headers while I'm at it. I found these on the Roush Yates website and I was wondering if they would fit my 2000 6.8L. the information page says 2004 2v so i was wondering if they would work on an earlier model. its one of the better prices i've seen for headers and the roush name tag isnt bad either

They should work, although don't expect huge gains out of them. A short tube header like that doesn't offer a lot of power gain over the stock manifolds. What you really want are long tube headers. Doug Thorley makes them, model THY-218Y-C in ceramic coating.
No matter which header you choose, don't hook it up to the stock exhaust with that restrictive Y-pipe.
