That's only if you get caught....

Yeah, i started reading them too, and watching videos about the install, and checking all the specs...it has made me curious too, i wonder how they can offer most, if not all, the same features as Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC, Alpine, etc, the major brands, for 1/3 the price, doesn't make alot of sense....i do like it though...it looks good, and does say it has all these features that i want...i also have 2 headrest monitors i've been wanting to install, but because i have the XL interior, i would have to cut holes for them in the bench seat, i haven't ever seen that done before, not sure how it would look...if i had the 40/20/40 seat with the headrests, these would just swap right in...i may just say screw it and do it...

Sorry for hi-jacking...

they are not as good... You have to watch out the sound is what is the problem with the very low end head units... the screens end up being fairly good but the built in amp tends to be sketchy... IMO save and wait to buy a nicer one

I had a valor before the panasonic that I have now. The valor I had wasn't the exact one that you are looking at, mine was the single din flip up screen one. Not to bust your bubble, but I hated it. It was extremely slow when navigating menus. The whole reason I went with the touch screen route was because I wanted to use it with my ipod, and the valor was terrible as far as how ipod friendly it was. Let me put it this way. The panasonic that I have now is about 2 years older than the valor that I had, and it blows the valor out of the water as far as features and user friendlyness go. Thats just my $.02 on the valor.

Search on ebay, there are plenty of good deals on there. I wouldn't buy a used radio off of ebay, but my panasonic was a refurb and it hasn't had any problems yet.

Hey all, just dropped some coin on a Kenwood 6140 for my 02' F-250. Should arrive this week, so next weekend I will be installing it (hopefully). I will post pics and let you know how it works out and what to watch out for. Stay tuned...

When you guys put your double dins in, do they come with a typical install kit, you just have to trim the dash a bit? They hard to put in? Anyone got any pics of a dd installed?

You have to trim the lips around the dash, but how much depends on what stereo you buy.

You mean the top and bottom of the openings? I see they have an install kit available, but it says high degree of modification, but a dremel tool would take all of 5 mins to trim some plastic......

P.S. Clay, gauges and the pillar look great, wtg

I'm kicking myself for not buying that one, it was $250, but was an open box buy. Post pics when you get it installed Nolan.
