i oredered my clutch and all of the other parts yesterday. a bunch of people suggested that i get the upgraded heavy duty forks so i went by the dealer and got those to. but now can anybody tell me about the install on the forks because i have no idea what to do. some pictures would be great. im doing the install on everything this weekend
This is about all I have for pictures.
Ignore the little tranny on the floor, that was for a size comparison when I took the picture.
You can see in the second picture that the fork simply rides on a pivot.
It's very simple to do as long as you have that floor jack, those trannies are HEAVY.
Just nuts and bolts.
If you still have the stock downpipe, do not disconnect it from the turbo, but rather disconnect it at the flange where it joins the exhaust.
That will give you a nice lever for rocking the engine when you re-install the tranny.
thanks. i ended up going with the valair clutch. we're going to start taking it apart on friday evening so i can get my flywheel to nashville to be re surfaced on saturday morning. i've got a couple guys helpin me that have installed in upwards of 50 clutches, thankfully since i've never done it before. how hard is this whole install going to be? any tips that i need to know?
