Don, I looked and found it. Several pages back. Rebuilt unit with approx. 100 miles on it. Other parts also available. 900 dollar price tag, local shop rebuild. About 5 pages back I think. Will run tests today and then you have choises. Always good to have choises. Will PM you when I'm done. OBCB

Well, we'll just have ta teach ya! Don't sweat it Dave. I also wouldn't trust anything on CL. To much money for a "rebuilt" engine. I wouldn't trust it so would tear it down anyway. Not something I'm prepared to do. OBCB is looking into one from his son, I'll wait for him to get back with me. Thanks anyway, I appreciate the offer.
$900 is a lot for that motor.........But the place that allegedly rebuilt it (Caldwell's in Springfield) is a excellent place. Keep it in mind, I bet that $900 becomes $500 in short order.
We have got to teach you how to post a link................I went and looked again and still couldn't find it...........
Dave, how to post a link:
When you have the page on your screen that you want to link to, RIGHT click on the address bar at the top of your screen. A drop down menu will appear. LEFT click on "copy". Now go to the message or thread you want the link to appear in and RIGHT click. The same drop down menu will appear again. Now LEFT click on "paste". BINGO!!! You have now posted a hyperlink to the thread! Just make sure you leave a space BEFORE the hyperlink...............Now go out and try it!
Sounds good Ozz. Is it a shortbox? If you would take some pics I would appreciate it. We just might buy it.
Sorry no pics yet, been a crazy couple days. I am not sure on the short box, will take pics when I get home from work tomorrow. I was wrong on the engine, it's a 351 clevland and the trany is a ammco rebuilt c4, he will take $700 for it.
I ended up driving $150 miles yesterday to save $230 on new tires lol. I am now sporting a nice new set of bf goodrich all terrains on my truck.
Pics finally, if your interested I can upload more to my facebook for you.
It needs some work, it's a project that just never got done. I hear the 351C was a strong runner before he spun the main and the tranny rebuild has low miles. It is a long bed though.
Nice looking truck! I sent a link to my buddy Mike. He likes the truck, but wants me to find a shortbed and cut the frame down to fit..................With the extra work involved ( and having to rebuild the engine) he asked me to offer $500 cash. Think he would take the offer? If so just let me know, and I'll send the money. Thanks for the help Ozz!
Don.
