Not as rare as one would think. Saw one in high school ( Volvo 4 cyl ohc), broke in three pieces, right in the bearing caps where it was supported. Could'nt see a thing wrong untill you turned the engine over. Time for the after-market triple throw down fire breathing high lift low drag cam. OOPS sorry, thought I was back in high school. (old man flash back) next thing you know I'll be looking for my bell bottom pants, scary. Good luck with the repairs. OBCB

i have seen that. i have seen all kinds of stuff. i have seen a MACK engine split the block
before.

Ok guys, lets get the wrench measuring over with and move on. Whew glad that's over.... I usualy lose. Collective experience is a great thing, when used to help another. Fordgirl<3 hows the repair going? Flame coming out uf the stacks yet? OBCB

Totally Random question but I need christmas gift ideas for a man with a 89 f250 and an army duece and a half... haha I'm stuck! What do you get a guy who has everything for christmas?? I want to do something along the lines of truck stuff..... but I have no idea!

Glad ta see ya back girl! I've been turning wrenches for 50 years, and have more tools and "stuff" than anybody else I know. BUT, there are things I'd still like to have. My best advice would be pay attention to to what he talks about, what he'd like to do, or have.

Talk to him about "what ifs" Like "sure wish I could....." My daughter has it down to a science....lol Every year she picks out just the thing I'd been wanting, and I can never remember telling her about it.........

just do something nice. it doesn't have to be for the rig. my wife asked what i wanted and i said nothing. having you is all i need. and thats it.

Only just like every other tool he doesn't have , too expensive!
