Front bumper brackets, something's missing
I scored a 01+ bumper with fog lights on c-list for my 2000 that didn't have any. Sweet! I noticed these brackets on the ends that my 2000 didn't have. Not sure if someone removed them or if something was updated through the years. It appears there should be some kind of other piece that would secure to the frame, and then to the bumper. What's missing here?

Its the crash bar ford added in 2001... I removed the crash bar but still have the brackets...
It was to keep us from going over the top of smaller cars in a crash...

Thanks guys, that clears it up then. I was thinking I'd like to just stiffen up the ends there, but I think I'll just leave it be. I don't think I'm going to sweat that crash bar, neat that I learned about it though.
There is a guy selling a factory 05 bumper and grill around here too. But the bumper doesn't have the driving lights and he wants $400 for both.
