I have a question......
I am looking at buying a used 2003, F450 with the 6.0, 32,200 miles.
After reading all this stuff about this 6.0, I can not help but wonder which
way to go.
I pull a 41' Fifth Wheel camper around the U.S. with a 95 F350, 7.3, and would like a newer ride, but dang, I do need dependability and NOT problems. Have 142m on the 7.3,well maintained, but I DO struggle along and it ain't an econmizer either.
The seller states he has heard of all these 6.0 problems, but states he has yet to have any. What is the real story here, and guys, answer based on experience and NOT heresay or speculation. Should I go with it, or is there any way in which to KNOW beforehand about THIS truck.

There are 6.0l's out there that don't have problems. We just hear more about the ones that do have problems. If they're maintained correctly they're awesome rigs. An OASIS report would show the warranty history of the truck so you can tell the truth from there.

For an 03 with that low of miles I'd be concerned about the turbo being rusted up with that little useage. Get Oasis, read the threads, check it out good- drive it etc. Come back with any questions, we're a friendly bunch. Well, most of us anyway, lol.
