Replacing fuel tank

So my '84 F250 came with a 15 gallon tank...Pretty useless... What is involved in switching to a larger tank? I would prefer not to have anything in the bed itself...

Thanks

Ethan

I have an 86 f-250 with dual tanks. The rear is like 19 gal and i think the side is around 17 gal. I know that they make a 38 gal that fits in the oem position in the rear of the truck. "LMC TRUCK" has them and I have also seen them elsewhere on the net. Only drawback to the bigger tank in rear that I know of is u cant use your spare tire holder under it. I will probably be going to a 1 tank set-up sometime in the future myself. It should'nt be to hard of a switch although I haven't attempted it yet.

I have a bronco 32 gallon tank in my 86 f-350 with a 460. Bolted right in. No more hitting every gas station now I can hit every other one.

If you put in the bigger tank you need to remove the spare tire. You dont have to take the bed off but it is so much easier without the bed on there believe me I have done it a couple of times both ways.
