i jst bought a 2003 superduty and have a friend with some 2007 superduty 20 inch wheels. myu queastion is will they work? if not how do i make them word? thanks
Bolt pattern is the same and they will fit. However the offset is wrong and would require spacers to make it right. I just dealt with the same issue on my 04. I done research on the spacers and with all the negative feed back from them I shyed away from them and found a set of factory wheels 99-04 to put on my truck. Good Luck.
There again, I chose not to get the spacers because of the negative reviews on them. The ones that I looked at were on ebay. There are a couple different types; the ones that actually bolt on your lugs and then the wheel bolts to spacer or a spacer that just slides over your lugs. If I would have went ahead with the spacer I would have gotten the bolt on style because the reviews that I read claim that the others would cause the lugnuts to come loose over time. I'm sure others will have better info than what I have relayed but this was what I gathered from the research that I done.
i bought mine from here. i picked up 2" spacers, anything smaller and you will need to cut your wheel studs. so if i go back to stock all i will have to do is un bolt them. mine are lug centric. the better ones are hub centric. i have no problems with them. Wheel Adapters Spacers
Try not to use any type of spacers at all.
The use of spacers will put you in danger, while towing or carrying loads.
Although unlikely, you could lose a wheel while driving or get a shimmy.
The smarter thing to do would be to buy a set of rims for your year.
although i dont disagree w/ buying the correct wheels for your truck is best, your alternative is a bit extreme. there are a bunch of guys here using them w/ no problem. do you have any real life stories about spacer failure?
