I have a 79F250 4x4 with no motor.
I would like to put a complete 94 351 windsor in it . What should I do and what parts do I need?
I dont care about the fuel injection part, I would love to have it on there, but it's not necessary.
Could I go back with a carb, and what parts would I need??????

1st what engine did the '79 have in it ....I would think that it was a 351M or a 400, is that case you will need to change the bellhousing (manual tranny) or swap out the enteir tranny (C6)
Then you will need to find some engine perches.... since the F250 wasnt offered with a 302 and I've never seen a 351W in a 4X4 73-79 ( doesnt mean it doesnt exist) I think you will find this swap quite daunting...as for changing it to carboration that is easy compared to the engine mounts.......... now that i really think about it you may be able to find a F250 with a 300 six 4X4..with some modification you may be able to make them work with a windsor V8
