Is that a picture of a bumpside that some has actually put the newer dash.
I asked about swapping an 88 dash into my 86 and never got any responce from any that had actually done it.

That doesn't appeal to me. I have a 78' because I want it to look like a 78 not a Frankenstein experiment.

To each is his own your truck apears to be mostly stock. Which is great and from your avatar looks to be a good looking truck. However i like to think in the last 30 some odd years a few things have beenimproved upon that i would like to aply to my truck.
All that being said i done some measuring last night and i dont think that i could get it to work because of the placement of the four speed shifter. I do however think it could be done fairly easy in an automatic.

On a similar note, here's a 1978 Bronco project with the interior, engine, transmission, etc., from a 2004 F-150:

I agree, many improvements have been made. And to be honest, I have contemplated newer(90's buckets) seats in my truck. They are made better and more comfortable, but I just can't see myself going through with it.

I have a SD and a dent. Having a SD interior in my dent doesn't appeal to me at all. Its an old truck I want the old interior too. I actually really like the bench seat and so does my dog.
